SPS‑A Series DC Power Supplies from GWInstek

GW INSTEK has announced the SPS‑A Series. A new generation of switching DC power supplies upgraded from the original SPS Series to offer a more intuitive interface, higher control accuracy, and enhanced protection features. The lineup includes five models—SPS‑12 30A, 1820A, 2415A, 3610A, and 606A—each equipped with an encoder‑type digital knob for faster and finer voltage/current adjustments. A 2.4‑inch TFT‑LCD color display provides clear visibility, allowing users to easily monitor output status in any test environment.

To improve measurement accuracy, the SPS‑A Series supports Remote Sensing with 2‑wire/4‑wire switching, effectively compensating for line voltage drop and ensuring precise voltage at the load. Built‑in OVP, OCP, and OTP protection mechanisms respond immediately to abnormal conditions, safeguarding both the DUT and the instrument.

For operational convenience, the series offers three memory and recall presets plus one power‑on default setting, enabling quick recall of frequently used configurations. With a setting resolution of 10 mV / 10 mA and a readback resolution reaching 10mV / 1 mA, the SPS‑A Series is ideal for applications requiring precise control. A front‑panel lock function prevents accidental operation, making it suitable for production lines and long‑duration testing.

The SPS‑A Series also supports the GRA‑441‑J/E rack‑mount kit for easy integration into automated test systems. The dedicated output On/Off key ensures safer operation by allowing users to complete all settings before enabling the output.Overall, the SPS‑A Series delivers higher precision, a more intuitive user experience, and comprehensive protection, making it an excellent choice for R&D, education, and production testing environments.

GWInstek GMD-904X Bench DMM

GW INSTEK rolls out the new Dual Measurement Multimeter — the GDM-904x series,which has two models -GDM-9041 and GDM-9042, to replace the existing GDM-834x series. Its exceptional features include 50,000 counts, LCD display, 0.02% basic DC voltage accuracy, Automatic Identification (A.I.) measurement and a USB protocol connector to provide users with measurement precision, lucid data observation, smooth measurement experience and the convenience to connect with the personal computer.

The GDM-904x series not only supports the fundamental measurement items provided by general multimeters, but also equips with capacitance and temperature measurement functions. At the same time, the GDM-904x series’ Automatic Identification (A.I.) measurement can  automatically identify measurement signals and switch measurement items before performing measurements, without the need for users to switch manually. Furthermore, the GDM-904x series also provides many math functions to meet the measurement requirements for manufacturing process tests, educational experiments and testing facilities.

With respect to storing and retrieving data, the GDM-904x series has two methods to offer: first, the USB flash drive storage function — operating alone without connecting with a computer; second, USB interface (support USBCDC and USBTMC) and optional GPIB interface (must be installed in factory) for automatic measurement system users to conveniently save and retrieve data.
